Full Day Exploration Cheow Lan Lake trip
Place: Cheow Lan Lake (Ratchaprapha Dam), Khao Sok national Park.
Duration: 08.40-18.30 Hrs. / Daily.
Highlights: To explore the Cheow Lan Lake in the jungle by local boat. The lake is surrounded by Limestone Mountains and cliffs covered in tropical rainforest that rise up from the shore of the lake and disappear into the far distance. The scenery has been compared to Qualin in China or Halong Bay in Vietnam. Few people know of the lake and even less has visited it. There are over one hundred islands in the lake and it is over 60 km from north to south. In the 70’s the area was a hide out for communists and students opposing the military dictatorship.
Activities: Jungle trekking through Tham Nam Ta Lu (Water Cave) or coral cave (depends on the season and water level) relaxing, swimming and kayaking at the raft house
What to bring: Swimming suite, towel, sun protection, hat and sun glasses, water proof bag, insects repellent, one set of dry cloth.
*** Advisable to wear sandals with straps, shorts and a T- shirt. Training shoes are also OK. Big walking boots are not advisable. The trails are easy going and you will get wet. ***

Half day or Full Day Jungle Trekking
Place: Khao Sok National Park
Duration: 09.00-12.00 Hrs. /13.30-16.30 (Half day tour) – 09.00-16.30.00 Hrs. (Full day tour)
Highlights: To explore the ecology of the rainforest, to see a great variety of exotic plants, tropical hardwood trees with huge roots, orchids, palms, ferns, bamboos, mosses; the variety is unlimited. Birds such as the Hornbill live high up above, gibbon can often be heard calling to their mates, a macaque or leaf monkey may be heard swinging through the branches, every day is different but it is truly wonderful to discover the great variety of life forms that co-exists together. This can only by experienced on foot, take it slowly, look, learn and listen then you too will start to discover some of the secrets of the rainforest.
Activities: Jungle Trek by feet through Southern Thailand’s unique rainforest environment.

Khao Sok Elephant Trek
Place: Elephant Camp (15-20 minutes away from resort)
Duration: 1.30-2.00 Hours (Daily at 07.00/09.00/12.00/15.00 hrs.)
Highlights: To explore the biggest rain forest in Southern of Thailand and listen to the sound of jungle on Elephants back.
Activities: Experiencing the rainforest from on high, from atop one of the world’s largest but most gentle animals, is one of the best ways to see it, and one which children in particular absolutely love. The elephant camp is a 20 minutes car ride away from Khao Sok. The elephant takes an hour to trek to the waterfall, (depends on the season)where you can swim and relax before returning to Khao Sok. On the return car journey we stop at Mae Yai (“mother-in-law”) waterfall (depends on the season) and at the Khao Sok viewpoint.

Canoeing on the Sok River
Place: Khao Sok River
Highlights: To spot exotic birds such as the hornbill, and many snakes can be seen curled around the branches on trees along the Sok River.
Activities: Canoeing along Sok River is a very relaxing way to see a different side of the ecology of the region. Our experienced guide who paddles for you, will take you on a canoe safari along the Sok River. Breathtakingly beautiful limestone karst form the backdrop for the evergreen virgin rainforest we paddle through.

Activities: Tubing along Sok River. On the way as you cruise through the warm, green waters; you can view the surroundings from a fresh perspective, taking in the verdant riverside and keeping your eyes open for the area’s notorious wildlife; including hornbills and other exotic birds, and the odd inquisitive monkey, watching you with interest from the branches above

Khao Sok Night Trek

Highlights: A very Special program. Experience one of the oldest rainforest on earth where you will get in touch with nature and observe wildlife in Khao Sok national park at night
Activities: Trekking in the one of the oldest rainforest at night time, keep your eyes and ears open, listen to the sound of jungle and wildlife. Don’t be too disappointed if you don’t see any animals – they don’t come out to give us a show! In fact they know exactly where we go and so will purposefully stay away. However if you don’t see them, you’ll certainly hear them!

Hot spring Bathing
Place: Rommanee hot spring
Duration: 2-2.30 hours (Daily )
Highlights: Soaking in a hot spring is one of the most enjoyable ways to initiate deep healing and rejuvenation of body, mind and spirit
Activities: Soaking in a hot spring can be wonderful therapy, for a number of reasons. The heat and subsequent sweating have a deeply cleansing effect on our skin and entire body mind system. The specific mineral content of the spring will offer its unique benefits. As such, hot springs have the capacity to balance and harmonize our body mind, quite naturally.
Remark: Not recommended for people having hypertension, cardiopathy and other heart diseases.

2-Day Overnight tour at the Cheow Lan Lake
Highlights: Sightseeing by the long-tailed boat on the most beautiful and unique Cheow Lan Lake “Guilin of Thailand”, kayaking, relaxing and swimming. Overnight on the lake in the heart of nature.
Accommodation: Basic bamboo floating raft houses.
What to bring: Insect repellent, long sleeve and long pants, hat, sturdy shoes or sport shoes, sandals, swimming suite, flash light are advisable.
Itinerary
Day 1:
08.40-09.00 a.m. Pick up from the resort, one hour drive by local minivan or car, takes you to Ratchaprapha dam where your guide and your boat captain is waiting for you, on the way the tour guide will make one stop at Ta Khun market where you can take cash from an ATM, buy some snacks and necessary things for one night on the lake or just for taking a look.
10.30 a.m. Take a long-tailed boat to exploring some of the nicest parts of the lake, the boat takes you to the raft house where you will spend the night. You may check-in and enjoy your first swim into the crystal clear waters of Chiew Larn Lake.
After a palatable Thai lunch, go back to swim, have a nap, use one of the free kayaks to explore the surroundings or just chill out facing the magnificent scenery.
In the afternoon, your guide takes you into the evergreen forest:
You go by long tail boat until the start of a trail. After 45 minutes walk you reach the 500 Rai Lake, a smaller lake. There, you find a bamboo raft that takes you to the entrance of Coral Cave. After the visit, you go back by the same way to the main lake where your long-tail boat is waiting for you.
On the way back to the raft house enjoy the scenery with the lights changing while your guide scans the shores to detect any wild life to observe around. Long tail macaques, pig tail macaques, dusky leaf-monkey, gibbons, monitor lizards, horn bills, eagles are the more commonly seen. Back just before night-time to the raft house.
A fish from the lake, a good curry and some other delectable Thai dishes are waiting for you for diner. Overnight on a rafting house.
Please note The rafting house we will stay is a simple and basic one, in the heart of nature, suitable for nature lover, the electricity is available during 18.30-22.30 hours only.
Day 2:
After an early wake up and a quick coffee, departure at 7:00 for a morning safari by boat along the shores.
Back at the raft house, your breakfast is waiting for you.
You are then free to follow your guide for a very nice hike into a pristine forest or stay at the raft house to enjoy its quietness, have some good swim or just chill out.
Lunch will be served at the same restaurant, take your time until departure, then you will take a long-tailed boat back to the pier and we will transfer you to the resort, you will reach at resort in Khao sok around 15.00-15.30 hours.
